If you don’t know about the Stonewall riots, you should go learn about them. And if you’re wanting to get into the mind and shoes of the people that were there, you can with Stonewall 1969 – A War Story, a new RPG that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Stonewall 1969 – A War Story is a single session RPG written by Stefano Burchi. It can be played by groups of three or four people.
During the session, the group plays out the lives of some characters in the months leading up to the Stonewall Riots. In this way they will discover who they are, who they love, what they dream of and what are the difficulties, oppressions, problems and choices they face in a society that has no place for them.
In a crescendo of tension, the game guides the group to discover what and why led the characters to revolt and how the revolt changed them.
About the Prides it is said that “The first time was a riot.” This game seeks to give its perspective on why it is important to always remember that.
The game will be available in both English and Italian.
The campaign’s up and over its funding goal with 26 days to go.
