The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) opened up nominations for their 2022 Power Retail Awards, which will be announced in March 2022.
The Power Retail Awards honor the best in retail innovation and creativity every year. The awards handed out are as follows: the Outstanding Contribution to Games (Retail) award, the Innovation in Games (Retail) award, Outstanding Store Design award, and the Retailer of the Year. Last year, the awards were announced online, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A highlight of last year’s awards was when every GAMA retailer won the 2021 Retailer of the Award for surviving COVID-19 (see “‘Retailer of the Year’“).
