Gina Gagliano, who was brought in as Publishing Director for the new Random House Graphic kids graphic novel imprint in 2018 (see “Random House Adds Graphic Novel Imprint“), has left the company, a Random House spokesperson confirmed; the imprint will continue under different leadership.
Going forward, the management team will be Random House Children’s Books Executive Vice-President and Deputy Publisher Judith Haut (who was Gagliano’s boss), Senior Editor Whitney Leopard, Senior Designer Patrick Crotty, and Editorial Assistant Danny Diaz.
The imprint’s The Magic Fish, by Trung Le Nguyen, took two Harvey Awards this year, for Book of the Year and Best Children’s or Young Adult Book (see “‘The Magic Fish’ Wins Two Harvey Awards“).
