The gods haven’t talked to their followers in 1000 years. It’s been 400 years since the whole world burned. Now, it’s those that are left, thanks to the advances in alchemy. That’s the world you find yourself in when you play Era of Silence, a new Chemipunk RPG that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
1000 years ago, our gods stopped talking to us. 400 years ago, our world was buried in ash. Now we rely on alchemy and each other to survive. The year is 1011, Era of Silence.
Era of Silence is the premier Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG) of Shrike Tabletop. 3-5 players take the role of Protagonist Characters surviving in the shattered future fantasy world of Vian. PCs arm up with alchemical technologies and work together to overcome challenges presented by a Narrator player. The game is built on the original Thorne System, which is a dice system that inherently encourages teamwork. Players seeking diverse character builds, rapid tactical combat, and chemically charged storytelling will find something to love!
Over two years, Era of Silence has been rigorously tested and developed with the intention of making a traditional/popular tabletop roleplaying game that challenges and develops on what that style of game can be. Now, we’re bringing the project here to fund the final version of the rulebook.
