Pokémon Café Remix out now on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices

Pokémon Café ReMix is now available for download on Nintendo Switch systems and on the App Store and Google Play for mobile devices. Originally titled Pokémon Café Mix and launched in June 2020, the Pokémon Café ReMix free-to-start game [1] has Trainers owning a café where all the staff and customers are Pokémon.

Big Changes Coming to Pokémon Café Mix!

The major update to the delicious puzzle game will take place on Thursday, October 28.

Big changes are coming to Pokémon Café Mix, so big that it’s getting a new name: Pokémon Café REMix! Get ready to have even more fun in the cute café filled with fun Pokémon and challenging puzzles. The update is coming on October 28 to both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions.

In Pokémon Café Remix, Pokémon you befriend by completing puzzles will become available as staff. Raise your friendship with the Pokémon to its maximum level and it’ll join your hard-working team. Then, as your staff of Pokémon develops, they’ll come up with new drinks and dishes! And if that’s not enough to get more customers through the door, rumors of new menu items will draw in new Pokémon to your café. Keep expanding your café to find out what’s in store.

New Pokémon Café ReMix Modes!

Pokémon Visiting Mode (main orders)

Prepare drinks and dishes by completing puzzles for customer Pokémon that come visit the café. As the café owner, you can select which visiting Pokémon you want to take an order from. You may also use golden acorns to bring in different customer Pokémon.

You can now also serve a heaping helping to a Pokémon to get bonus friendship levels when you complete an order, as well as serve an additional order to a customer whose order you took previously. Try any one of these methods when you want to recruit a specific Pokémon or get lots of items to help a specific Pokémon grow.

Note that the current Pokémon invitation system will be discontinued. Also, if you have completed all of the main orders currently available, you will still be able to play Master Café Mode. (Up to main order #300 will be available at the time of the major update.)

Past Orders Mode

Pokémon Visiting Mode (main orders) can be played again after completion. For instance, if you clear an order with one star, you can try again and aim for three stars. When retrying a past order, the difference in earned stars will be added to the friendship level of the customer Pokémon you served during your re-challenge.

Menu Development mode

Once your staff Pokémon and their levels meet certain conditions, you will be able to develop new menu items. In Menu Development, you complete a puzzle by assigning the Pokémon that has met the criteria for the new menu item as the leader.

Training mode

Train to level up individual staff Pokémon. As you raise your staff members’ levels, they will be able to tackle puzzles with an advantage and develop new menu items.

Extra Orders mode

The main orders that were available until now will become extra orders, and you will be able to play up to order #1,200. You will be able to increase a Pokémon’s friendship level in this mode as well.

You will also receive special rewards once you complete certain orders. The rewards are the following:

Order #100: Charmander
Order #600: Pikachu with chef’s whites
Order #1,200: Lucario with chef’s whites

Your current game data will be transferred after the major update, so you will be able to immediately receive rewards for orders cleared after the major update.

New elements such as specialty gimmicks can be utilized in extra orders, making previously difficult orders easier as your Pokémon grow.

Puzzles have also been revamped!

Three-tiered puzzle clearing system

Both the Pokémon Visiting mode and the Training mode puzzles will have three tiers for completing the puzzle depending on how far you are in clearing the objectives. Completing a first-tier puzzle will be less difficult than before, while completing a third-tier puzzle will be more difficult.

Puzzle gameplay has been refreshed with specialty gimmicks!

Every Pokémon has specialty gimmicks that can be activated to aid in completing puzzles. Specialty gimmicks include the ability to clear certain gimmicks that appear in a puzzle in one shot. As your Pokémon’s level increases, they will learn more specialty gimmicks and be able to clear more gimmicks.

Cheer Rush is also powered up! Megaphones can be combined!

Megaphones that appear in Cheer Rush will be powered up and you will be able to combine up to four megaphones in one move. The strength and direction of the effect will depend on the megaphone combination you use, so be sure to test out different combos!

New Pokémon and outfits!

Lots of new events!

Look forward to a bunch of events taking place after the major update. Those Pokémon you’ve been waiting for will be visiting the café one after another.

Tons of new outfits

As you level your staff Pokémon up, you can get outfits in different colors.

You can also get different outfits during events or by purchasing a premium pass or the Pokémon Outfit Pack, allowing you to dress your favorite Pokémon like never before.

Changes to the stamina system

The items you use up during orders (puzzles) will change from hearts to stamina. Under the new stamina system, you will use up one stamina unit regardless of whether you successfully complete an order or not. Due to changes that enable players to re-play orders to earn more stars or to train staff Pokémon, stamina will be used up before the order starts.

  • The time it takes to restore one heart used to be 30 minutes, but the time it takes to restore one stamina unit has been shortened to 15 minutes.
  • Besides waiting for stamina to restore, there are other methods of restoring and obtaining stamina:
    • Time-based stamina will be added as an item (when used, stamina will not deplete for 30 minutes).
    • Team members will be able to send stamina to each other. (There will be daily limits to the amount of stamina that can be transferred).

Pokemon Cafe Mix will be in scheduled maintenance from 10/24 7:00 p.m. – 10/27 7:00 p.m.

Put on your apron and dig in to all the new fun features when the big Pokémon Café ReMix launches!
