D&D Accessories: Let’s Get Gelatinous (Cubes)

Everyone loves a Gelatinous Cube, so we’re going to add more of them do your next D&D session with these jelly accessories.

The Gelatinous Cube is one of D&D’s most well known and iconic monsters. Something about a square of jelly coming to eat you is undeniably funny, and the floating weapons and items inside only serve to entice adventurers. It makes sense that there are a ton of RPG accessories featuring this monster in all of it’s gelatinous glory for you to add to your gaming collection As always, links to purchase are in the item titles.

Gelatinous Cube Dice

Of course there are Gelatinous Cube dice. Clear green resin features the skulls of prior adventurers not skilled or lucky enough to survive their encounter with these sharp gelatinous polyhedrons. It’s an effect that’s specific, unmistakable, and will be very fun to roll at the table. Each dice set is apparently blessed by an eleventh level bard, if you believe in blessing dice and good luck. And if not, these still look very cool.

Gelatinous Cube Dice Box

You’ll need an apropos box to put your Gelatinous Cube dice in, and this matching lime green box will hit that mark. At two square inches it’s a good place to store your dice or put your mini should they find themselves consumed by the jelly. The design on the cut acrylic features all of the bones and treasure you’d expect to find in a Gelatinous Cube and a hinged top will make getting things out much easier than it will be for your character in game.

Gelatinous Cube Soap

This cube is actually gelatinous! A green five and a half ounce of soap holds bones of unlucky adventurers and a full set of dice for a lucky you after you’ve washed your hands a couple hundred times. We always love an accessory that’s useful in and out of game, and this one will be funny for a long time to come.

Gelatinous Cube Dice Jail

Do you have misbehaving dice that need to do some time behind bars? This Gelatinous Cube dice jail will keep an eye on it along with the sword and shield of the last adventurer to be betrayed by their dice. This is probably one of the most detailed and pretty Gelatinous Cube figures I’ve seen, and the fact that it does double duty as a figure and a dice jail is icing. Put the feat of jelly into your dice and make them roll better.

Crocheted Gelatinous Cube

If you’re a little more artsy and better with yarn than me, this crochet pattern for an adorably angry Gelatinous Cube may be your next favorite project. Plush D&D monsters are pretty great, but making one yourself is so much more fun and special. Never have adventurer bones been cuter than this snuggly do it yourself D&D monster.

How do you feel about the Gelatinous Cube? Are they encounters you enjoy or would rather avoid? Have any of our accessory picks made it onto your wish list? Let us know in the comments!

Happy Adventuring!
