Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘The Treasure Box’

There is a new Rumor Engine out and it’s clearly a Treasure Box with a lock on it. Boom. Done. We can call it a day, right?

Tuesday mean it’s time for the Rumor Engine to whip us all into a frenzy of guessing what’s coming from Games Workshop. Sometimes it’s a really strange bit and we have no idea what it could be. But not this time. We know exactly what it is.

“Some say that the images that the rumour engines don’t show us are just as important as the ones that it does. We think those people are very silly indeed, because just look at this glorious image from the future:”

It’s a treasure chest! There ya go. We know exactly what this bit is. Now…what it means? Well that’s the part we don’t know. It’s a chest and it’s got a lock on it for sure. It also looks like it’s got some sort of cloth or leather wrapped around it – like something is carrying it on their back or waist. And what’s up with that strange knot on the left of the image?

These big fellas are known to have some strange gear on their belts.

Could this lock-box be from the Mortal Realms of AoS or would it be from the Grimdark of 40k? My guess is probably something AoS related. This box could even be smaller than you think – perhaps it’s in a saddle bag or something of that nature. But who or what could be carrying it around?

These Orruks are also know to carry around some pretty eclectic items on their persons and mounts, too.

Well – I’m at a really loss for what/who this chest belongs to. And that’s where you come in! If you’ve got an idea we want to read it in the comments. So drop us a line with your best guesses and why. It’s all part of the fun of the Guessing Game that is the Rumor Engine!

I wonder who’s got the key to that chest…
