Visit your local Warhammer Store and score a new collectable coin and miniature for October – It’s Black Templar Time!
Games Workshop has revealed the new collectable coin for October as well as the miniature you can snag from your local Warhammer Store. Check this out:
“These coins are only available from your local Warhammer store while stocks last, so mark your calendar for the 2nd of October and ask your local Warhammer store manager how to snaffle yours before your fellow faithful claim them.”
It’s a nice bonus for coming into your store and supporting your local scene. How exactly you get a coin is a little ambiguous – but that’s part of the mystery…or at least it’s part of the marketing to get you come into your local Warhammer Store. You’ll need to pop in and ask the store how you can get your hands on one. But while you’re asking about the coin you can also ask about the miniature for the month, too.
“He’s available from the 2nd of October while stocks last, so ask your store manager how to get hold of him.”
Your model may vary. But it looks like it should be an Assault Intercessor. It’s unclear if this is going to be a push-fit version* from the Dominion sprues or if it’s from the stand-alone box. But it’s going to be an Assault Intercessor either way – and these are only available in store while supplies last. Get in there early if you need/want an Assault Intercessor model.
*The model used in the picture appears to be a push-fit version from the Dominion Spures.
One final note for folks looking to get a paint palette together for their future Black Templar army. GW has some recommendations for paints and the new “Pick ‘N’ Mix” Paint Sets are perfect for putting it together.
“If you’re looking for a quick and easy Battle Ready Black Templars palette, we recommend you check out the free How to Drybrush Black Armour video over on Warhammer TV. To follow along you’ll need Abaddon Black, Eshin Grey, Dawnstone for the black. For the extra details, Corax White, and Morghast Bone are perfect for the white and any purity seals; Mephiston Red for the red, and Leadbealcher and Retributor Armour are ideal for your metallics. Tie it all together with a wash of Nuln Oil to bring out the details, and base it with Armageddon Dust and you’re good to go!”
That’s a pretty good fit for painting up those Black Templars. So get into the store and grab your coin, mini, and paints!
A Black Templar Assault Intercessor…yeah, seems about right.
