Z-Man Games has teamed up with Geocaching to get you up and out of your houses (we could all use a bit of that these days). You can roam far and wide, looking for unique collectables for the upcoming World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King – A Pandemic System Board Game.

In order to celebrate the launch of World of Warcraft®: Wrath of the Lich King – A Pandemic System Board Game, Z-Man Games has partnered with Geocaching to bring you a globe spanning series of quests to help bring an end to the Lich King once and for all…and earn some exclusive bonus content for the board game.
Starting on September 14th, Z-Man Games and Geocaching will launch the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King – A Pandemic System Board Game Geocaching Campaign, encouraging fans to collect unique trackables and trek around the world with them. The farther you go, the closer you come to helping the heroes of Azeroth defeat the Lich King, as well as unlocking brand new content for your copy of the board game.
Before we dive right in, what is Geocaching? Basically, it is a large- scale scavenger hunt for items, or “geocaches.” These caches are found at specific locations, marked by coordinates, all over the world. This outdoor recreational activity uses GPS and mobile devices, as well as other techniques, to track the caches and record their distance traveled and number of people who have interacted with them. There is an official Geocaching app available to download. Open that on your phone and you’ll find hundreds of caches all over the world on an interactive map.
For this Geocaching campaign, we have created 4,200 copies of seven unique trackables—a small, collectible, trackable graphic with a unique code on the back for logging and tracking. These seven trackables are in the form of the legendary heroes from World of Warcraft, and the same heroes available in the board game: Jaina Proudmoore, Lady Liadrin, Muradin Bronzebeard, Tirion Fordring, Sylvanas Windrunner, Thrall, and Varian Wrynn.
