So this is a new one. According to their most recent Kickstarter update (and social media posts) earlier today the owners of Pandasaurus Games (Machi Koro, Dinosaur Island) got a call from their warehouse team. Apparently last night there was a break-in at the warehouse. Professional thieves managed to steal 200 copies of The LOOP and 100 copies of Dinosaur World (the Kickstarter version) and load them into a truck.
“The stolen product was immediately offloaded to an online seller, who has already listed it on sites such as Ebay. The police are involved and have apparently already identified the thieves.” The Kickstarter version of Dinosaur World had a price of $70, while The Loop has an MSRP of $49.95.
If you happen to come across any of these copies online, they want you to know that these are stolen copies (and you obviously shouldn’t buy them). Neither of these games has made it to retail yet and most haven’t even been delivered to Kickstarter backers yet.
Pandasuarus says that they do have enough copies of the product to still fulfill all Kickstarter backer’s copies. This definitely happened at a less than ideal time as well as the team is busy heading to Indianapolis now to prepare for Gen Con, which opens on Thursday.
